About the Creator

My Name is Neardey! I am so excited that you’ve joined me here to explore my cookie world and the many flavors I have offered or will be offering but first I’d like to introduce myself.  I don’t claim to be a professional baker as I mentioned in the Little Lana Story.  I’d rather just be called, a Creative.  Because I do like to create beautiful things.  Fun flavored cookies are just one of them.

First and foremost, I am a mother of 4 beautiful children. I am also a wife, sister, aunt, and daughter.  I am a refugee child who immigrated to the United States with my family at the age of two and have built a life that I wouldn’t change for the world. I am a military veteran, who has a love-hate relationship with politics and love for social justice. Then by day, I ensure my client’s cyber security infrastructure is on point.  Yeah, that’s a mouthful, isn’t it? All a true story.  Did I mention also that I’m a film producer? Yep, you can rent/buy my first film on amazon, In the Life of Music.  You can kind of see the pattern here.  Creative.

I mentioned 4 kids.  Lucas, Drake, Lana, and my stepson Cameron.  These knuckleheads are my entire life.  They are reason for my HUSTLE, my GRIT, my DRIVE for success.  Being a refugee, my kids are first-generation Cambodian Americans.  Our history starts when we are born, but our legacy begins here with our kids and what I leave behind to them. My goal is to raise kind-hearted and strong little humans who will one day make their own imprints in the world.  But for now, I will show them what passion, hard work, and perseverance means.

Why Little Lana….

I love all my kids and after 3 boys, I always wanted just one girl and I did all that I can to get her (that’s another story to be told one day). Lana is the youngest of the 4, like I said, the only girl, hangs with the boys, plays soccer with the boys, and not gonna lie, she fights just like the boys if she has to—3 older brothers, she had to learn to be just as strong if not stronger and that she is.  Lana has no fear.  I know that can sometimes be scary as well, it’s probably why she broke her arm when she was only 2.  But I know that nothing will stop her when she must overcome challenges in her life.  She is also full of life and so genuinely caring for those around her.  I cannot wait to see her grow and conquer the world.

So the truth is, I feel this way about all my kids.  Every single one is unique and are sort of their own “Little Lana” way. I am fortunate that already they all have shown me what incredible humans they already are and what they will become.  So why does Lana get to be Little Lana?  Well, she’s the youngest and the only girl.  The perk of life’s position, haha.  So there you go.
